The “Intermunicipal Actions to Support the Internationalisation of Businesses in West Athens” project is developing an integrated range of digital services, tools and initiatives designed to strengthen entrepreneurship and help businesses access new markets.
At the heart of the project: businesses in West Athens
The project’s services are addressed first and foremost to existing, active businesses operating in the nine Municipalities of Western Athens, with priority given to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These businesses form the backbone of the local economy, and the project was designed to offer them what is so often missing: organised access to knowledge, data, tools and networking, so that every next business step can be taken on solid ground.
The project’s services are primarily aimed at established and active businesses operating across the nine municipalities of West Athens, with particular emphasis on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These businesses are the backbone of the local economy, and the project has been designed to provide them with something that is often lacking: structured access to knowledge, data, tools and networking opportunities, enabling every subsequent business decision to be better informed.
Particular emphasis is placed on sectors in which the area has an established production base and strong growth potential, such as food and beverages, tourism, culture and hospitality, and the creative industries, including Information and Communication Technologies—without excluding any business from the services on the basis of its sector.
At the same time, the platform’s digital services remain freely accessible, without restrictions, to businesses throughout Greece.
