The Western Athens Development Association is organizing its first business mission for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as part of the project “Business Support Services for Western Athens – Business4Extroversion.”
The business mission to Spain, from Wednesday, May 3, 2023, to Sunday, May 7, 2023, focuses on the BioCultura exhibition, which takes place at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. The exhibition focuses on the growth of organic production, sales and consumption.
This first business mission follows the successful completion of six specialized Thematic Workshops, where invited businesses were informed about the project’s activities, the top benefits offered by the platform free of charge to all businesses (not only those in Western Athens) (Entrepreneurship Digital Tools, Networking and Business

Collaborations at national and international levels, Special Reports on Sectors and Activities), and the financial support tools for businesses (Saving Energy – Entrepreneurship programs, Entrepreneurship 360, Green Transition of SMEs, Digital Transformation of SMEs).
All sectors of the Greek economy engaged in ecology and organic production will be represented in the mission, particularly in the following areas:
- Sustainable fashion
- Ecological cosmetics
- Food and Mediterranean diet products (not necessarily certified as organic)
- Renewable energy sources
- Electromobility and e-bikes
- City logistics
- Thematic forms of tourism (gastronomy, healthy diet, wellness, rural tourism, eco-tourism)
Note that the following services are provided free of charge as part of the business mission:
- Preparation of the company’s profile and presentation (landing page)
- Organization and scheduling of B2B contacts
- Networking and promotion through the organizing exhibition
- Transportation to and from the airport and other necessary locations with private transportation
BioCultura is the largest exhibition of organic products and responsible consumption in the state. In 2023, it will gather approximately 300 exhibitors dedicated to organic food, ecological cosmetics, sustainable fashion, healthy homes, responsible tourism, renewable energy sources, sustainable mobility, crafts, and NGOs. Alongside the exhibition, over 250 activities will take place, with approximately 50,000 visitors expected.
