Information on the International Trade Fair and New Requirements for Food and Beverage Safety, Packaging and Labelling
The Development Association of Western Athens (ASDA) is organising a Thematic Workshop on Monday, 12 October 2026, at 17:00, at the ASDA Conference Room, 37 Arkadias Street, Peristeri, in preparation for the business mission to the international trade fair Cibus Tec 2026, which will take place in Parma, Italy, from 27 to 30 October 2026.
The business mission is organised within the framework of the project “Intermunicipal Actions to Support the Internationalisation of Businesses in Western Athens”, and ASDA will be represented at Cibus Tec 2026 at Stand G055, Hall 6.
The Thematic Workshop aims to effectively prepare businesses to maximise the benefits of their participation in the international event, while also providing up-to-date information to companies operating in the agri-food sector that wish to strengthen their export readiness and regulatory compliance.
The Business Mission to Cibus Tec 2026
The first session will introduce Cibus Tec 2026, an international trade fair focusing on food and beverage production and processing technologies, packaging, automation and digital solutions.
Participants will receive information on the exhibition’s thematic areas, the profiles of exhibitors and trade visitors, as well as opportunities for business networking and the development of new partnerships.
In addition, the organisation of ASDA’s business mission will be presented in detail, including the programme, the operation of the exhibition stand and the arrangements for representing participating businesses.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the opportunities available to businesses in areas such as:
- New production and processing technologies
- Advanced packaging solutions
- Automation of production processes
- Digitalisation and traceability
- Sustainable production
- Networking with equipment suppliers and technology providers
- Development of new business partnerships and B2B collaborations
New Requirements for Food and Beverage Safety, Packaging and Labelling
The second session of the workshop will focus on recent and upcoming changes to the regulatory framework for 2026–2027, which directly affect businesses throughout the agri-food supply chain.
The session will cover key developments relating to:
- Packaging and food contact materials
- Food safety requirements
- Labelling and environmental claims
- Traceability and supply chain management
- Specific requirements for wine and alcoholic beverages
- Technical documentation and regulatory readiness for international markets
The workshop is primarily intended for businesses participating in the Cibus Tec 2026 business mission, but is also open to other businesses operating in the agri-food sector that wish to stay informed about new requirements and enhance their export readiness.
